Game 2 Preview: Rangers Have a Chance To Rebound

Alright so we can only go up from here. That was about as bad as the Rangers can play as a team so only good things ahead. We have the early afternoon game today which is typically not a great time for hockey to be played. Those games are slow and sluggish, but this could be a great benefit for the Rangers.

If these guys come out skating like they know how too I think they can start off hot from the first puck drop and get a few early goals. From there as long as the defense plays with half a brain we should be ok. I still can’t believe I was watching professionals run into each other like it fucking mite hockey in Game 1. But that’s over and we’re going to move on. So the faster the boys in blue get off to a hot start the better overall.

From a goalie standpoint it’s pretty obvious. Don’t make Hank bail out asses out 5 minutes into the game and we may be ok. Craig Anderson is very beatable. We saw some flaws in Game 1 and if we go after him we can score. Again, you know, simple stuff that they teach in pee wee hockey. Crash the net. Shots on goal. Screen the goalie. Simple stuff here. Lundquvist still has the advantage from a goalie perspective so let’s hope he stays hot.

Honestly. We steal this one on the road we are set up. MSG will be rocking come game 3. We just need to play with some heart and attitude today and we’ll walk out of the Canadian Tire Centre* tied 1-1.  Rangers come with a W today 2-1.

* So I was told by a friend that the Senators changed their arena from ScotiaBank Place to the Canadian Tire Centre back in 2013. I’ve been lucky enough to go to that arena and just didn’t take the time to check. So just an update from my previous blog.
Over/Under: 5 (+110)
